Visit some of the best highlights of Music City U.S.A., including the world-famous Music Row – the center of the music industry – where hearts are broken and dreams come true. The next location on the tour is a stop at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Participants will have a private conversation with a professional singer/songwriter about the stories behind the songs. Their trip to the Country Music Hall of Fame will conclude with a southern lunch buffet.
After the tour, the experience continues with a driving tour of the historic downtown area, including Ryman Auditorium, State Capitol, Bi-Centennial Park with the WWII Memorial, the Parthenon and much more.
Historic Franklin Tour
Franklin is a unique blend of history and progress. Since its establishment in 1799, it has grown from a tiny, agricultural community into a strong blend of residential, commercial and corporate citizens. From a Civil War battlefield, to a host of museums and antebellum mansions, to the thriving downtown shopping area that includes some of the best antique shops in the state, Franklin has a little something for everyone.
The day begins with a guided tour of the Carter House and then Carnton Plantation. Lunch will be served at one of Franklin’s mainstays, H.R.H. Dumplin’s. The final stop provides an opportunity to browse the quaint shops and antique stores in the historic Franklin downtown district.
Cheekwood Botanical Gardens and Belle Meade Plantation Tour
The former home of the entrepreneurial Cheek family, the Cheekwood mansion with noted art and surrounding botanical gardens, is cherished locally and recognized nationally for its unique ability to welcome visitors of all ages with one-of-a-kind indoor/outdoor experiences. After a leisurely walk through the grounds, you’ll ride over to close-by Belle Meade Plantation.
Built by the Harding family, the 5,400 acre plantation was world-renowned for breeding champion Thoroughbred horses. While there, enjoy lunch at the Carriage House and shopping in the unique gift shop. The day ends with a wine tasting from The Winery at Belle Meade Plantation.
Country Music’s Legendary Homes and Fontanel Mansion Tour
A trip to Music City U.S.A. wouldn’t be complete without a tour of some of the homes of country music’s legends like Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Dolly Parton, Trisha Yearwood and more! You will enjoy stories of triumph from the tour expert as we travel through the countryside.
After seeing where the legends lived, you’ll visit and enjoy lunch at Nashville’s newest tradition, The Fontanel Mansion and Farmhouse, formerly owned by Country Music Hall of Famer Barbara Mandrell. The estate and grounds have been the setting for numerous photo and video shoots, including CMT’s top-rated Gone Country. Most recently, the mansion was one of the settings for the Hollywood hit movie Gone Country starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw.
