Mike Ditka
NFL Analyst, Pro Football Hall of Fame Player, Super Bowl-winning Coach,
and Restaurant Owner
As a player, as a coach, and as a spokesman, Mike Ditka has firmly established himself among pro football legends. He spent 11 years as the head coach of the Chicago Bears, gaining national attention for his accomplishments and dynamic personality. Inheriting a team that had recorded only two winning seasons in 19 years, Ditka quickly turned things around and led the Bears to a 10-6 record and an NFC Central Division title. He garnered Coach of the Year honors and is the only Bears coach to lead his club to five straight post-season appearances. After a successful coaching career, Mike Ditka took on a new challenge in television sportcasting. He joined the NBC network as an analyst on NFL Live and as a color commentator for other NBC broadcasts. He is now an analyst on Sunday NFL Countdown and Monday Night Countdown and makes regular appearances on ESPN Radio and SportsCenter.

Bill Kurtis
Journalist, Producer and Author
As an acclaimed documentary host, producer, news anchor and multimedia production company president, Bill Kurtis has spent the past 35 years creating a body of work that is virtually unparalleled in the field of broadcasting. During his career as a network newsman, Kurtis covered such notable stories as the Richard Speck murders and the Charles Manson trial. He is also credited with breaking the Agent Orange story, and the story of Amerasian Children in Vietnam. In 1990, he founded Kurtis Productions and began producing programs for the A&E Television Network, including the long-running, award-winning Investigative Reports, American Justice, and Emmy-nominated Cold Case Files.
Mr. Kurtis is the recipient of numerous humanitarian, journalism and broadcasting awards and is a published author and a member of the board of directors of several distinguished organizations including The Nature Conservancy, The National Park Foundation and The Field Museum of Chicago.

The Honorable Deborah Matz
NCUA Board Chairman Debbie Matz served on the NCUA Board from 2002-2005, was reappointed and named chairman by President Obama in 2009.
Formerly, Matz served as part of President Barack Obama’s transition team and was executive vice president and chief operating officer at Andrews Federal Credit Union of Suitland, MD.
From 1993-2001, Matz served at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Before that, she was an economist for the Congressional Joint Economic Committee.
The Honorable Michael E. Fryzel
NCUA Board Member Michael Fryzel is also a member of the Illinois and District of Columbia Bar Associations. Mr. Fryzel was Commissioner of the Illinois Court of Claims from 1989 to 2003 and has served on Illinois Governor’s Task Force on Financial Services and on the Governor’s Financial Institution Transition Team. Mr. Fryzel served on the Illinois Governor’s Board of Credit Union Advisors from 1992 until his NCUA appointment.
The Honorable Gigi Hyland
Board Member Gigi Hyland’s career serving the credit union community spanned 14 years prior to her NCUA Board appointment in 2005. She served as senior vice president and general counsel for Empire Corporate Federal Credit Union in Albany, New York; and she previously served concurrently as vice president of corporate credit union relations of the Credit Union National Association and executive director for the Association of Corporate Credit Unions.
Bradley W. Beal
Bradley W. Beal was appointed chair of NAFCU’s Board of Directors in July 2008. He has served on the NAFCU Board since 2000. During his tenure he has also held the offices of secretary, treasurer and vice chair.
Beal joined Nevada Federal Credit Union as senior vice president in October 1987, and has served as president and chief executive officer since February 1990.
Beal previously served as President of Nevada State Employees Federal Credit Union in Carson City, Nevada, and has over 30 years of credit union and banking management experience.
Fred R. Becker, Jr.
Fred R. Becker, Jr. became the president and CEO of NAFCU in January 2000. Since coming to NAFCU, Becker has been focused on enhancing the federal credit union charter, improving NAFCU’s direct contact with its membership and reaching out to the national press on behalf of credit unions.
On Capitol Hill, NAFCU’s federal charter enhancement initiative resulted in increased attention to federal credit union issues, as well as the inclusion of a number of important credit union provisions in the Regulatory Relief bill.
Becker will discuss the latest trends affecting the credit union industry, including regulatory and legislative updates, economic challenges and developments and opportunities for the credit union industry in today’s economy.
